ENVT-1107-M01-2025-26 Landscape Design (Term 2 week 9)

Beth Chatto is a respective and well known gardener that is famous for her Gravel Garden in Kent which she transformed from a car park and into an oasis of dry plants.

I took a lot of inspiration from her work by creating an ensemble of different types of planting throughout the experience feel and natural reserve allowing people to experience different emotions as they meander through the site. Each zone and each corner, a place of uniquesness and originality.

I've taken inspiration from 2 of her gardens, The Gravel Garden and The Damp Garden. In dry areas, there will be gravel related planning and more moist areas, there will be more of the Damp Garden style planting.
