SuDS Strategy

During my research on water movement, I have found SuDS strategy to be a useful subject and has helped me to understand how I can implement certain techniques into my memorial reserve.

One that stood out to me was rain gardens. This is where it captures water from roof pipes, roads, and driveways, usually after heavy rain and is absorbed into the soil. This allows the water to be stored in a basin and slowly soaked up rather than overloading drains and causing flooding.

I have decided to implement rain gardens into my site as it proves to have a lot of advantages, including minimal land take, easy to maintain and fit in.
