This week we were supposed to create a Project Statement and a 150 word ethos this is what mine was about.

“ A good design should work efficiently energise the senses and serve the behavioural needs of its users.” (Rutledge, 1981, p. 2). This statement alone should support the whole project as cohesion is a must, the control of sound and life should come together as one. I purpose to build a place where trees can help deflect sound reducing High DB levels. Giving people a platform to sit on and enjoy the night sky as well as overviewing which bats fly overhead at night, a natural reserve for the people and animal to fully express themselves. Creating more green buffer zones, giving them the separation from all the excited people creating noises out of joy in certain places away from the habitats of others. The children will have addition features from an open field to run to their heart is fully content. This will be supported all by cohesive living for bats and animals around the given area as well as planting the word support the micro ecosystem and planting the brings a calming presence to you and however goes into this project.

At this point i was gather group and induvial research about the site about LDA wanting to do a project on the site about bring communities together.

LDA proposal envisions Thamesmead as a groundbreaking hub of biodiversity, featuring lush green spaces and water channels designed to foster a deep connection between communities and nature.

The site also has very grim history being a place of war as there used to build nukes there so ground soil and water could possibly be contaminated.

This timeline that i complied together tell you a brief history about the site

Timeline of Thamesmead's Transformation: From WWI Munitions Production and WWII Arsenal Expansion to Post-War Nuclear Research, Cold War Surveillance, and Modern Regeneration Plans.

Also during this time i started to map out noise pollution at wider context in relation with my protagonist map of noise areas.

Map illustrating noise pollution levels in various areas near a river, highlighting red zones with high noise levels and pinpointing key sites like airports and industrial parks with decibel averages.

Historical Noise pollution Mapping

Also needed to know the flight path and so if a possible diversion to stop planes flying over all the time could help.

Flight plan map

Bats

I complied everything they could want and their cycle of life

This gives a understanding of building around the benefits of people and nature.
